Individual counseling is an opportunity to express yourself completely and free of judgment. It is a space to explore your values and allow your emotions to just be, where they are, in the moment. Walking through life society tells us to hide our emotions… “buck up”, “pull yourself up by your boot straps”, Â “just don’t feel anxious”… “just don’t feel sad”. Unfortunately emotions aren’t just something we can wish away. Trust us, we’ve tried. Instead, individual counseling will allow for you to change your relationship with these emotions, learn how to become your own best friend/advocate, and create a caring space for change in order to get closer to your values.
